Setup Guide
✕
1. Install on your iPhone/iPad
Open this app in Safari → tap the Share icon → Add to Home Screen → Add. Launch it from the home screen icon from now on.
2. Start the bridge on your Mac
In the project's bridge/ folder, run npm install once, then npm start. Keep that Terminal window open — it prints your Mac's IP address and creates a virtual MIDI port called "iPad MIDI Bridge".
3. Connect the app to your Mac
Make sure both devices are on the same WiFi. Tap the status dot (top-left), enter the IP printed in Terminal and port 8181, then tap Connect. The dot turns green when linked.
4. Enable the input in your DAW
Ableton Live: Preferences → Link/Tempo/MIDI → turn on "iPad MIDI Bridge" as a Track/Remote input.
Tracktion Waveform: Settings → MIDI Devices → enable "iPad MIDI Bridge" as an input.
Tips
Your Mac's IP can change between networks — re-check Terminal if the connection drops. Use Edit Mode to rename pads/pages, set colors, and build note/CC/PC action sequences.
